The Good Life

Oh how I cannot believe our baby is ONE!!  This year has gone too fast!  Here are a few pictures from her first birthday party!  She had a blast and loved ripping the paper on the presents!!  I will post a one year update soon!  Lakelyn's little cousin Case came to party!  What a cutie!! The Boys! Opening Presents! The Girls! Avery helping her blow out the candle! She loved the cake!

I had the pleasure of taking this happy couples engagement pictures a few weeks ago.  I am so excited for Josh and Ashlee and I wish them many years of happiness!  Can't wait until the wedding!!

 I found Ken and Barbie under my kitchen table one evening...Avery informed me that they were on a date.  You just never know what you are going to find around my house!   :) The beautiful sunset as I was driving down my driveway one evening.  Miss Lakelyn  Can you guess this road...it is my parents driveway!  For those of you that have been there before, can you even believe it is blacktop now?!?!  It doesn't even look like the same place, but it's sure nice to drive on! One of our tobacco patches in the evening sun.

Oakley had so much fun playing wiener league this year!!  He was a little timid out on the field and liked it a lot better when his Daddy was out there with him, but he still had a blast.  He talked about playing ball all summer!  He is like Avery and wants to play every chance he gets! I had to take this picture, because he was so excited to sit in the very back of my truck where Avery usually sits.  She was not with us that night so he got to ride back there and he loved every minute of it!  Sometimes it is just the simple things in life that can make your day!

Here are just a few more pics from some of Avery's softball games this summer.  Most of these were taken at an 8u tournament in Estill County. Avery playing her least favorite position.  She said she doesn't like having to wear all of that "stuff."  :) This first baseman was huge compared to Avery...this picture does not do it justice at all!!! Fourth of July weekend was a super busy, but a super fun weekend!  I think we packed in as much as we could during those three days...here is a quick overview! Friday was the last day of Bible School at church.  That evening we had a program for all the kids that participated.  They sang the songs that they learned that week, got their certificate from their teacher and then had cookies and kool-aid after that.  This is Avery getting her certificate from Ms. Kalena. This is where Oaks sat the ENTIRE time.  He refused to get up with his class and sing or get his certificate. Saturday morning we went to the White Mills Day parade.  Avery and Oakley got to ride in the parade in a friends train that they pull behind a tractor.  They had so much fun and loved every minute of it!    Oakley and Chaz Avery and Allie Miss Jovie Rose watching the parade with us!
