The Good Life

Oakley had an awesome birthday this year!  He loved every minute of it!!  On his actual birthday I cooked him his favorite dinner, Spaghetti, and he opened his present from Mommy, Daddy, Avery and Lakelyn. He couldn't wait for his birthday party and talked about it all week long!  Thanks to all those who came and helped us celebrate! Evan, Oakley & Austin playing with play-dough. It was fun, fun, FUN taking these two's photos.  They are both so sweet and both have amazing eyes!  Young love....it takes my back to when Jason and I were young!  I hope they enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Goodbye baby girl, hello walking, talking toddler! These past two years have sure flown by. Here is a quick update on Miss Lakelyn!  ~She talks all the time! She can repeat anything and speaks in full sentences now. ~She loves to sing! Her favorite songs are Itsy, Bitsy Spider, Row Row Your Boat, Jesus Loves Me, and Baa Baa Black Sheep.  ~Lakelyn has decided that she is going to call Avery "Sissy" and she refuses to call her Avery. I still don't know where she picked this up from.  ~She is doing a great job peeing in the potty....now if we can just get pooping in the potty down!  ~She loves to color and draw.  ~Playing with her baby dolls is also one of her favorite pastimes.  ~She loves to give hugs and kisses and she will give them to anyone! She is a very loving child!  ~She loves to be read too. Her favorite book at the moment is Mary Engelbreit's Nursery Rhymes. ~Lakelyn does not know a stranger. She will let anyone ho...

Sunshine, Hair-bows, and Curls!

A few weekends ago we took the kids over to some friends of ours so they could learn to ride a horse. They had been begging to go every since Stephanie mentioned it to them. Well, we finally went and the kids had a blast! Avery fell in love! If Avery has anything to do with it we may be purchasing a horse in our future. LOL! I sure remember a little girl just like her not to many years ago..... Oakley kept asking Stephanie when they could start jumping!  Where does this boy get his fearlessness?  Maybe he has just watched too many cowboy movies! One of Stephanie's pretty flowers. We are so excited to introduce the newest member of our family, Chip! The kids had been begging for a puppy for a while now and Jason and I both had been wanting to find them a couple little beagle pups. Hopefully, we can find Chip a little playmate soon. Before we had kids, Jason and I had Bailey. She was the sweetest little beagle. Chip reminds me so much of her!  One thing is for sure, the kids are head over heals in love!  These pictures are from the day we brought him home.  Chip just goes with the flow....even when Lakelyn has a hold of him!  Jason and I laugh and say that Lakelyn is just like Elmyra Duff off the Tiny Toon Cartoons.  LOL!
