It's not often these two sisters hold hands, but it is so sweet when they do.  Avery is always watching over and making sure Lakelyn and Okaley are okay.  There is nothing like a big sisters love.  Trust me...I know!

Oaks was ready for Super Bowl Sunday!  He was cheering on his Seahawks.  Needless to say he was a little disappointed in the outcome.  Please excuse the leftover lunch around his mouth, that is how this little guys rolls!

Lakelyn's sweet little feet in polka dot socks!

30 | 365 {everyday messes}

Image
The never ending job of cleaning up a family of fives dishes.  How blessed I am to have messes like this everyday!

Our pride and joy!  The three best decisions of mine and Jason's life...other than marring each other!

28 | 365 {upside down}

Am I the only one that had a child that likes to watch TV upside down?!?!  This girl is so silly!

27 | 365 {winter selfie}

Image
Taking selfies isn't my favorite thing to do unless one of my kiddo's is with me, but for the sake of my 365 project here you go.  :)

It's SNOWING again!  And just because I couldn't decide which window picture I liked more.  I love Lakelyn's ruffled curtains in her room, so girly!

Winter Wonderland...Finally!

Image
The weather man said maybe an inch, but probably just rain.  It makes my heart smile when he is wrong!  I love the snow and there is nothing better than when it snows on a weekend!  Friday night the kiddo's played until way past bedtime and they were up and out of the house bright and early Saturday morning!  We played until lunchtime, and then, just as quick as it arrived, it melted.   Lakelyn said, "Mommy, I know how snow melts.  The sun comes out and God takes it all back up.  Jesus too and then they share."  Love pink cheeks from playing in the snow!  Not quite as much as some areas around us, but I will take it!  It's the most we have had in a few years.   My backyard. Loved the view from my front porch this morning.  Our little piece of heaven on earth.  The start of our trail along the river.  Loved the heart in this old log. ...

 Avery has taken up arm knitting.  A big thanks to her Nana for teaching her!  I have no idea how she does it, but her scarves turn out beautiful!  She has even decided to start selling them and then give her proceeds to childhood cancer research.  Proud Mommy moment!

The river flows so graceful through the snow covered banks.  Oh how I love this place.  My precious Kentucky home!

23 | 365 {your shoes}

Finally got to put my shoes in some snow!  Let it snow!!

22 | 365 {muse}

Image
My muses!  While they are not quite women, they are very much one of my sources of creative inspiration.  These sisters have my heart!

Spring training in the basement.  It won't be long and we will be at the ballpark every night!  And yes, according to Oakley you do hit better when you have last years uniform on.  :)

Oaks received the Leader in Me award in his class this month.  It was for Habit #3, Put First Things First.  I am so proud of my little leader!

18 | 365 {resolutions}

Image
One of my resolutions is to be more present in the lives of those that matter most to me.  I want to enjoy every moment and make the most of the time we have together.  This past year I read the book "Hands Free Mama" and it changed my life and my outlook on parenting.  We are in such a crazy time in our lives.  The kids are old enough to participate in activities, but not old enough that we don't have to be there and take them.  We run ALL THE TIME!  Down time is something we rarely have.  However, in the midst of the chaos I am going to strive to slow down, listen, hug, laugh, yell less, and remember that they are only this little once. And for my mommy friends out there, if you haven't read "Hands Free Momma" by Rachel Macy Stafford or follow her blog, I highly recommend it.

These three are never still!  Thankful for beautiful weather this weekend so we could get outside and burn off some energy!  Fifty degree days in January are always nice, but I am still wishing for some snow!!

16 | 365 {beginning}

Image
This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Almost every morning I find her with the puppies. She is like a little momma to them!  She packs them around just like if they were a baby.  She sure is a sweet little mama!

Another cold, frosty morning.
