Avery & Oaks Summer Photo Session

Tonight I did an quick photo session of Avery and Oakley and the pictures turned out GREAT! I just decided to do it on a whim and it could of not gone more perfect. Those of you that know me well, know that I completely stress out when I take my own kids pictures. Jason had swore to never help me again because I get so stressed and upset. (He did help me tonight and in fact it was his idea to go do it!) It's funny because I have no worries when taking other peoples pictures. Anyhow, I had been wanting to get some really good pictures of them together that I can blow up really big and put in my hallway. I think I got them tonight! I have so many favorites I don't know how I will pick which ones! I had a hard enough time narrowing down the ones I wanted to put with this post.

I also did some great family pictures this past weekend of the Do Family. As soon as I have them edited I will post of few of those.

Those are TOO cute! I love how you set them in front of a round bale! Have you ever checked out the website/blog for Pioneer Woman? I found it because she has a cooking blog, but she also has a photography blog too. She has TONS of great tips for using Photoshop. I'm not sure if you have/use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (Elements is their program targeted towards consumers), but it's a really powerful too. She also has some Action Sets you can download for free to use with those programs. You can do some really nice/interesting looking stuff with them. Just google "Pioneer Woman" and you'll find it!

Cute! I love the one of them laughing at each other, the close up of them on top of the bale is my second favorite. I can see the dilema in which one to blow up...good thing you've got lots of wall space.

These are so cute! We are going to get our pictures taken this weekend and I can't wait to have a good one of the girls because I haven't been able to get one yet. What kind of camera do you use?

All of the pictures are adorable! I wouldn't be able to pick just one either. I really like the one of them looking at each other laughing and ones where they are looking directly at the camera.

You have done an amazing job. I guess you get that from your dad!! You have been greatly blessed, and if it means anything I am VERY proud of you! I miss and love you and would love to get togehter sometime, to let the kids play, to catch up, and maybe get you to take a few pics of us!!

Cold Days of February

Even though it's cold outside, we still try to have as much fun as we can!  This particular week in February ended with a ton of fun at Great Wolf Lodge.  Jason and I decided that instead of buying the kids more "things" for Christmas, we would buy them experiences.  We hadn't been to Great Wolf since Lakelyn was one.  Avery and Oaks had been talking about going back, and were always telling Lakelyn how much fun it was.  We made a cute little note and wrapped it in a box to give them Christmas morning.  Needless to say, when they opened it, they were super excited.  Might of been the best response ever to a Christmas gift!  Beautiful snowflakes! 1|52 Looking ahead, with 2017 just a reflection. My hope for 2018 is to simplify my life. Spend more one on one time with each kiddo, take more walks in the woods, sit and talk more, laugh and enjoy each other to the fullest. Oaks and I took a walk to the river today, just the two of us. It was seriously cold, but it was sweet to have some time with him. Cheers to the new year!

February Fun

At one time, February was my least favorite month.  Now I can honestly say it is one of my favorites.  Basketball is winding down, softball is only once a week and baseball, and soccer have yet to start.  Jason isn't crazy busy and we seem to have more time at home together.  These are the moments I cherish.  Again, wrestling is always a favorite activity!  Daddy got the new basketball goal put up and the kids stayed out way past dark to shoot hoops.  These two were glued to a movie.  Lakelyn was so excited to get a bag of M&M's to put in her "M&M Trophy" as she calls it.  Oakley has been wearing these house shoes every night.  Lakelyn was walking her dog! lol!
