Those of you that know me well, know that I am not a huge pet person. Those of you that know my son well, know that he is not a huge pet person and that is an understatement. Oaks HATES dogs (even little ones.) If a dog comes near him he usually takes off crying and screaming. The odd thing is that he has been around dogs his whole life...we even had a dog up until a few months ago. I asked him once why he didn't like River (my parents dog) and his response was "he has big teeth!" I am assuming this is why he doesn't like any dog. That being said he has recently found a pet that he really likes...kittens. My parents just adopted two baby kittens and Oakley loves them. He was a little leery at first, but now he loves to hold them, pet them and play with them. Of course we do have to watch him because sometimes he can get a little rough, but most the time he is really good with them. The other night at mom and dad's he had a blast playing with them and getting them to chase the stick he was holding. He would just cackle when the little kitten pounced on his stick. It was so cute and I just had to share these pictures!

I am so proud of you Oaks for becoming an animal lover....or well a kitten lover. When Allie has baby bunnies, we'll have to drop one off. I love the kitten's look in the second picture of Oaks holding it.
haha.... Braxton is the same way! Hates dogs.. but loves kittens. He's not crazy about full grown cats though. Oakley is too cute!!!
I wish I could have been at home for this. Oakley has such a sweet heart. Lisa, I was thinking the same thing about the kitten's expression in the second picture, too funny!!
