A Fairy Garden Party

As most of you know, Avery was born Christmas Day. To keep things easy and to give Avery her own day we have a half birthday party instead of trying to have a birthday party at Christmas. This year was so much fun!! We kept it a little smaller by only inviting her friends that were her age. We decorated down by the river and had all the little girls tutu's, fairy wings, and flower clips for their hair. The girls also made their own fairy dust and painted fairy houses to take home. It was a perfect day until all of the sudden it began to pour down rain! All the little girls hid under the table until we could get them to run to the house. Once at the house we decided to open the presents on the front porch since everyone was drenched! This seemed like a good idea until it started lighting and thundering...with every clap of thunder I had 8 little girls screaming at the top of their lungs! Needless to say the party turned out to be quite an adventure, but I still say it was a huge success! I think everyone had fun even if they were soaking wet and I know Avery did! Enjoy the pictures!

The boys were pretty wore out after the Fairy Garden Party!!
