This time of year it is so hard for me to get home from work before dark. Somehow I managed to get home, run in, grab my camera and then run outside to get this shot moments before it turned completely dark.
I didn't think it would be a very good picture, but I think I like it. This tree is in the field right beside our house. It's not the prettiest tree in the world, but there is something about it that draws me to it. Maybe because, to me, it is a symbol of our home, our life & family, that Jason and I have built together. It's not always perfect, we have a few broken branches, and sometimes we are barely hanging on. But, we are strong and we continue to grow and learn together, we give each other shade and protection when we need it most, and we are a constant in each others lives, but ever changing in every season. I thank God everyday for this life and family we have built! I pray that we will never stop growing, we never stop learning and that our "branches" will always provide shade, protection and rest.
