Lakelyn 9 Months

Image
WOW, time has sure gone by so fast! In 3 more months we will be celebrating a first birthday!! That doesn't even seem possible.  Here are a few things that Miss Lakelyn has been up to: ~She is on the go!!  She crawls everywhere, but is also pulling up and cruising around on everything!  Tonight she even stood up for several seconds by herself.  She was quite proud of herself after that and LOVED that Avery, Oaks and I were all cheering for her! ~She LOVES attention, especially from Avery and Oakley.  She want's to be right in the middle of what ever they are doing at all times. ~Lakelyn is quite lovable and is always giving hugs and kisses.  She is even starting to blow a few kisses! ~She has four top teeth and two bottom teeth! The four top ones all came in at once...it was a rough couple of days around here so I am hoping the rest make their appearance one at a time!!  ~Lakelyn is still nursing, but she is also eating her 3 regular meals a day a...

Lakelyn's Baby Dedication

Image
This past Sunday at Church was a very special day, not just because it was Mothers Day, but it was also the Baby Dedication at Church. The dedication is a statement we make in front of the church that we will do our best to raise our child in a Christian home and teach them to follow God's word.  Our Pastor also gives all the babies a certificate, a letter that he wrote to them that we are to read to them when they are older, and their first Bible.  What a wonderful Sunday!! There were 5 babies dedicated on Sunday.  Beside us we have the Wilcox girls, Miss Piper and Miss Jaycie! Mrs. Michelle giving Lakelyn her Bible, letter and certificate. Lakelyn checking out her first Bible!

Wiener League Opening Ceremonies & First Ball Game

Image
This past weekend was opening ceremonies for wiener league and Oakley's very first ball game!  He was so excited all morning, but when he got there and saw the HUGE crowd, he was not so sure about playing ball.  When it was time for his team to go out on the field he would not go unless Daddy went with him.  After the ceremonies were over we had about an hour before his game so we ran to the store.  On the way Oakley kept telling us he didn't want to go back to the ballpark and play ball.  Jason and I couldn't believe it!  That is all he has been talking about and he has been so excited about it!  Then we realized that he thought that all those people were still going to be there and that he was going to have to be out on the field in front of them.  We reassured him that it would not be like that for the game and that it would be just like practice, but with another team there.  He seemed okay with that and once we got back to the ball field...

Jovie Rose and Big Brother Brody

Image
The other day I had the honor of taking pictures of one of my very best friends beautiful children!  Miss Jovie is only a month old and she has such an awesome big brother!  I had a lot of fun taking these and such a hard time narrowing down the ones I wanted to post on here!

Just some random pictures

Image
These are just a few favorite pictures that I have taken here lately...not because of the image quality or because it is a great portrait, but simply because they are a moment in my life that I want to always remember! The other night I found this little frog hanging out on our window.  The kids were already in bed, but I knew they would get such a kick out of this little guy so I took a picture.  The next morning I showed them and they thought it was the greatest thing ever (especially Oakley).  They kept wanting to know if it was going to come back, but no such luck so far. A few days ago I walk downstairs to find Lakelyn crawling around with a nerf dart stuck to her forehead.  I ran to get my camera but of course by the time I got back she had already pulled it off and Oakley & Avery were trying to stick it back on.  Poor girl...they better watch out, one day she will get her revenge. Two peas in a pod!  I was getting ready to take some pictures ...
