Painting!

Okay, so I know that we have only lived in our house for two years, but I was so ready to repaint our bedroom. When we were building I had so much on my mind. I decided to just paint our bedroom eggshell with full intentions of repainting when I had more time to think about what I really wanted. Well here we are two years later and I finally decided. Jason and I spent last Sunday painting and it looks great!! The color looks really good with the two log walls and even better with my bedding and curtains. It feels so good to have a little color in my life!

Ice Storm

What a crazy week! We were expecting some snow...not this! However, it has been nice to be at home with my kiddo's most of the week. No electric, no phones, no Internet means we had lots of time to play together! Although, we are one of the lucky few that have had power since Thursday, excluding the few hours that we lost it today. Here are a few pics I took of the last few days. You would think a bomb or tornado had hit.

This is the first day...before all the tree limbs started breaking. This is my mom and dad's front yard.
Isn't this safe!

The icicles melting off my front porch.

One of many trees my dad had to cut out of his driveway. I couldn't believe that the ice pulled trees up from their roots.

Welcome to the world Ella!!

Congratulations to our good friends Andy, Allison and big sister Emma on the birth of another beautiful little girl! We went by last night to meet Ella for the first time. She is so precious! She even let Avery and Emma help hold her for a picture...she is already a brave little girl! :)

Avery's 4 Year Pictures

I finally took Avery's four year pictures today. I am a few weeks behind, but that is the benefit of taking them myself, we can do it on OUR time! For those of you who don't know, photography has always been a passion of mine. I could not live without a camera...in fact I still remember my parents buying me my first one. Needless to say, I have about a million photo albums! One of my Dad's hobbies is photography as well, so I guess I got it honest. (You should see how many photo albums he has!) However, I did not really get into portrait photography until having kids. It's just that it seemed a little ridiculous to pay an outrageous amount to have their pictures taken when I could do it myself. Especially since every time you turn around you want to have them done.

So anyhow back to Avery! As most of you know Avery was our very special Christmas present. She was born Christmas Day 2004! She was so excited to turn four this year. She kept telling us how big she was going to be after her birthday. She also loves to tell everyone that her birthday is Christmas and that she has the same birthday as Jesus. I guess I would be pretty proud of that too, who better to share your birthday with. What a wonderful little girl we have....we could not of asked for a better Christmas present!

Easy Bake Oven

I took a trip down memory lane today. Santa brought Avery an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. Today we cooked Donuts. Avery did such a good job, but I think her favorite part was eating them! While I was helping her make them I had a flashback to when I was her age and me and my Mom would cook with my Easy Bake Oven. It was so much fun and I thought it was so cool to be able to cook with my own oven. I only hope that Avery will have the same great memories someday! By the way, the donuts were yummy!

C - A - T - S....Go Cats!

Did I mention that we are HUGE UK fans! Jason eats, sleeps, and breaths UK basketball and man was he excited after Tuesday nights game! I have to admit, I was so tired that night that I went to bed and missed the whole thing. Although I have heard that they are already airing it on ESPN Classic. Anyhow, here are two of the most cutest UK fans ever!

What am I doing?!

Okay, what the heck am I doing?! I barely have time to breath and I decide to start a blog? I am not sure that I will be very good at keeping it updated but I am going to try! I just couldn't think of a better way to keep family and friends updated on our crazy life!

First and foremost, let me give you a brief background. I have been married to a wonderful man named Jason for six and a half years now. He is great and did I mention that he adores me?! We have two beautiful children, a four year old little girl named Avery and a 17 month old little boy named Oakley or Oaks for short.

They are truly mine and Jason's life! Our world revolves around them and we thank God every day that he chose us to be their parents! We are blessed!
