Project 52: Week 8

We love our trampoline!  Especially when it starts getting warmer out!!

February in Pictures

Here is a look at our February! We are looking forward to spring and some nice weather! Can't wait to get outside more with the kids!! It's almost ball season, so I see many afternoons at the ballpark in my near future. :)
Eating Lunch - She always wants to feed herself!

A little boys toys.  One day I will miss these laying around the house!

But right now I wonder if they will ever learn to clean their rooms...I hope I am not the only one out there that has this struggle with their kids!

An impromptu photo shoot with Miss Lakelyn.

This girl can have some seriously bad hair days!!  :)

Oh how I love my little man's smile!

Another project I have Jason working on!  He might loose it if I ask him to do another one anytime soon!  Haha!

Signs of Spring!

Avery's cat Smokey.

Lakelyn Nicole figured how to get the top off of Avery and Oakley's paint that goes with the easel.  Don't worry it's non-toxic and now it is further out of her reach!!

Charlie's shirt makes me smile!  His kids bought this for him for father's day!

I have really been struggling with some things this past month and these two verses along with Psalms 3 have really brought me peace.  It's amazing how God provides just the right verses when you need them.  And thanks to my Mom for all her wisdom and prayers!

Barn basketball at Papaw and Nana's

Avery helping her Daddy feed the baby calf.  It wasn't wanting to suck or walk and now it is back in the field with it's mama doing both!

The beautiful flowers Jason sent me on Valentines Day.

Lakelyn loving on her little lamb!

Can't believe how big my Oakley is getting!

 The love of a DS.

Sun flair!

February Skies

I think I have been a little obsessed with taking pictures of the sky, but it has been so beautiful in the past couple of weeks that I just can't help myself! There is something about the clouds, sunsets, sunrises & a beautiful blue sky that comforts me. It gives me hope of a new day and reminds me of our amazing God and His love.

Dream Big

I think this is the sweetest song and I thought it would be too cute to add some of the lyrics onto this photo.  I am going to blow this up (I am thinking a canvas) to hang in Miss Lakelyn's room.  :)

Lakelyn ~18 months!

Our pretty little lady is 18 months old!  (Actually, she turned 19 months old yesterday.  Guess I am a little behind on posting this, but what's new right?)  Everyday she is saying and doing something new.  Just this morning she started playing with her babydolls like a little mommy.  Up until now she has not had much interest in them.  Here are a few highlights about Miss Lakelyn:
~She LOVES her big sister and brother and wants to be with them at all times.  If they are doing something she is always right in the middle, trying to join in.
~Lakelyn has quite the vocabulary, but her most used word is "No."  She also loves to say "Daddy's Girl," and "Where Daddy go?"  She is truly Daddy's little girl!
~She is really good at making animal sounds!
~If you ask her how old she is she always says two...what is with my girls always wanting to be older than they really are?!?!
~Lakelyn is quite mischievous!  You can't get anything done unless she is asleep!  She is always pulling things out, climbing on things, pulling all the toilet paper off the roll, sneaking into the pantry and finding the candy, you name it she is into it!  I was trying to pick up the house the other day and I walked into another room for just a second and I came back to find her sitting in the middle of the kitchen table!
~Wrestling with Avery, Oakley and her Daddy is one of her favorite things to do.
~She has a serious sweet tooth!  We have to hide all the candy and anything sweet because if she see's it she refuses to eat anything else.  As you can see, candy is how I got her to cooperate for the pictures!
~She does not like milk, but loves juice.
~She had loved to sit on the potty and even pooped in the potty once!  I was so excited, but now when I ask her she screams "NO."  Guess it will be a few more months before we start potty training!  I am keeping my fingers crossed she will pick up interest again soon!
~Lakelyn loves to rock!  She is always rocking when she is sitting down and even sometimes she rocks back in forth when she is standing.  In fact, when she is really tried she will rock herself to sleep on the couch or in a chair.
~Most the time she hates to have a hairbow in her hair or shoes on her feet.  We cannot keep her from taking them off!  Whenever we go somewhere you can bet that by the time we get there we will have to re-fix her hair and put her socks and shoes back on.  However, Saturday she wanted me to put a bow in her hair and she left it there all day long...maybe she is changing her ways!
~She loves to read books and to look at pictures!
~Giving Kisses is something that Lakelyn loves to do and she does not discriminate!  She will kiss anyone!
~She loves the kitty cats and goes outside to pet them every chance she gets.  She will also stand at the window and watch them play forever.
~Itsy Bitsy Spider is her favorite song to sing.  She also likes Jesus Loves Me and ABC's.
~I can already see a special bond between her and Avery and I pray that they will always be close!  Lakelyn and Oaks are close as well, but they also fight a lot!  Oakley will build something and then here comes Lakelyn to knock it down.  He doesn't always understand that she is just trying to play too.  However, he can always get her to laugh!

Gymnastics

Avery had her gymnastics performance last week and did a wonderful job. I am honestly amazed by the muscles in her body and the things that she can do at 7! She has so much fun and loves every minute of it! She says her favorite things are the bar and doing her back handspring. She also loves to play in the pit every chance she gets!!

What do you do to get an 18 month old to sit through a 2 hour gymnastics performance?  Give her lots of animal crackers to eat!

Every time I try to take his picture this is the face I get!

Dismount from the bars.

Beam!

I think she forgot to smile, but the "fish face" is pretty darn cute!
