Baby Update

It's the final countdown...well almost! I am 29 weeks and I am still feeling really good! Today, I had another ultrasound to make sure my placenta moved up and thankfully it did! It was also nice to see "little bit" again. She switched it over to the 4D image for us and it is amazing how much you can tell what it is going to look like! All, I can say is it is definitely one of our babies! It looks a lot like Avery and Oakley! Now I am really ready to find out if it is a boy or a girl. It is amazing to think that the next time I see "little bit" it will be in person!

My weight gain is still good and Dr. Nethers says everything looks great! My next appointment is in 3 weeks and then I will start seeing him every other week. I really did not want this pregnancy to go too fast and here I am, about to start counting down the weeks!

We are well on our way to finishing Avery and Oakley's big girl and big boy room and I am looking forward to converting their room back to a nursery. Jason finished up painting this evening...now I just need my mom to work her artistic talent and add a few details to the walls. Next is doors, trim and carpet. Anyhow, that is a whole other post! :)

Your probably wondering if we have picked out names yet. It has kind of been one of those things that we haven't thought a lot about until now. We have several on a list that we like so I suppose we will pick one from that list...hopefully before "little bit" get here! I am still open for suggestions so if you have heard any good boy or girl names lately let me know!

And here I am at 29 weeks...

The scanned ultrasound picture is a little hard to see, but here is the latest picture of "little bit."

Sunset

This was the sunset off my back deck on Sunday night...I promise I did not edit this picture at all...this is straight out of the camera. The whole sky was yellow and it was so beautiful! Moments like this remind me of what an amazing God we have! Just thought I would share.

Softball Opening Ceremonies

This is Avery's second year playing softball and she was so excited for this season to start. She got to be back on the Wildcats team and have Coach Lucas as her coach again this year. The opening season tournament got rained out for the most part this past weekend, but they did get to go ahead and play two games. It is so amazing to watch these little girls hit the ball as far as they do, make the plays to get the runner out, and to see the improvement they make from one year to the next. I'm not sure if they will reschedule the remaining games for the tournament, but she starts playing her regular season on Friday and I look forward to afternoons at the ballpark! Go Wildcats!!!

Avery is Miss Social Butterfly...she found a friend of hers on another team...in case you couldn't tell it looks like Avery and Allie are chit chatting away. I picture their conversation something like this...

Avery: Hey Allie, good luck with the Heartbreaker's this year. Hope you like playing softball.

Allie: Yeah, I think I am going to like it. I hope the Wildcats have a great year too. What's all this opening ceremonies nonsense about anyway?

Avery: Ah, who knows...I'd rather be playing ball than doing this...sure glad you're here to talk too!

Allie: Yeah, me too...so I got a rabit at my house.

Okay...I could go on and on with this but I will stop. :)

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Last Sunday my parents came by and brought kites for the kids. I am not sure who had more fun trying to fly them, Gran and Papa or the kiddo's. Oakley's favorite thing to do was to get the kite really high and then let go of the string...he would almost fall down with laughter everytime! I just love his big belly laugh when he thinks something is really funny! He had us laughing so hard from just watching him laugh. What a fun afternoon!

Baby Shower

Have I ever mentioned that I have the most amazing family?!?! Well, I do! I don't get to see them very often since we live about 2 hours away, but I love to go visit. I think my Mamaw told me that once I have my baby that will make 52 or 53 of us...so we are a pretty big family and it is so much fun when we all get together. Anyhow, they insisted on throwing me a baby shower even though this is my 3rd baby. We got lots of great stuff like diapers, baby wash, diaper rash cream, wipes, and several little girl outfits (with gift receipt of course)...so we know what they think we are having! Thank you all so much and I am so blessed to have you all as family! I Love You!!

Me and my two of my cousins, Jessie and Shannon. Shannon has a little boy, Parker, that just turned 3. Him and Oaks played really well together...a little too well...we caught Parker and Oaks heading to the pond by themselves in Parker's jeep!!

Avery and Paige (my cousins little girl) helped open the presents. Avery had just got a paper cut in this picture, but nothing a band-aid wouldn't fix.

The only decent picture of me and my kiddo's and it is still not a good one of me, but at least both the kids are facing the camera!

The Girls...my Mamaw, my Mom, me and my little girl Avery

Shaving like Daddy

The other night Jason was in the bathroom shaving when the kids thought it would be fun to "shave" too. They ended up having shaving cream everywhere, but they sure had a blast playing with it! I just had to take a picture to remember this moment!

Avery decided she needed shaving cream under her arms so she can "shave" like Mommy too

Sorry for the yellow picture, this was taken without a flash, but I just loved their expressions.

A Perfect Saturday

A few weekends ago we had the most beautiful Saturday. We planted trees, played outside, and ended the day with a bonfire. I am so happy spring is here!

Avery's snapdragon she planted

Our new trees

4-wheel races down our hill

My mother's day present...a weeping cherry tree!

Watching the bonfire

What happens when Avery dresses herself! :)

Oaks decided that he could ride his 4-wheeler off the back deck steps...this is what happens when a face meets concrete!

Me and my babies!

Baby Update

Okay...so I am super far behind on my baby updates. My last doctor's appointment was at 24 weeks and everything looked great. I am still right on track with my weight, although it felt like I had gained 20 pounds! It was quite a relief to find out that I had not gained that much weight in one month! The biggest change between 20 and 24 weeks would be that my belly really popped out and now there is no mistaken this pregnant belly! My next appointment will be at 29 weeks and I will have another ultrasound to make sure my placenta has moved up...that appointment is actually tomorrow so I promise a new post really soon! This is me at 25 weeks!

Easter Sunday

We were awakened bright and early Easter morning by Avery. She was so excited that the Easter Bunny had come that she was up at 6:00am. We had her lay back down until Oakley woke up, but I am not sure she ever did fall back asleep. They were both so excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought them and by the time we were ready to head to Sunday School and Church they were on a major chocolate high! We had a beautiful service at church and then went to Mom and Dad's for Easter dinner and an egg hunt for the kids. Later that afternoon we stopped by The Avery's farm to see one of my oldest friends, Lauren Avery, and meet her fiance before they moved to Germany. I left my camera in the truck while we were there and now I hate that I don't have any pictures. It was so nice to catch up with old friends that I had not seen in years and Avery had a blast playing croquet with Lauren's fiance. It was such a perfect Easter Sunday!

Aunt Kat teasing the kids that she was going to get all the eggs...and no Avery doesn't wear glasses...these are her pretend glasses that she loves to wear!

Easter Eggs

Every year at Easter the kids love to dye eggs. There is just something magical about watching a hard boiled egg change colors and seeing your children's eyes light up! However, this year we decided to do something a little different...paint our eggs. I am not sure that this was the greatest idea I ever had, it was extremely messy, but Avery and Oaks had a blast! Here are my little artists hard at work...

I Love Bellies!!

I have to say that one of the most beautiful things in this world is a pregnant belly. There is something about a beautiful, round belly that just makes a woman glow. It's a pure miracle, a gift from God, and no matter how many times I see it or go through it myself it absolutely amazes me. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking a good friend of mines belly pictures. She is due about a month and a half before me and I look so forward to meeting their new little bundle of joy. I hope they enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Kindergarten Sign Ups

Well, it's official...Avery is all signed up and ready for Kindergarten in the fall. She was so excited to go sign up and can already not wait for the first day of school. She has honestly been ready since the day she turned five and wanted to know why she couldn't start school right then. I on the other hand am not quite as excited. Don't get me wrong, I am so thrilled that Avery is this excited about school and hope that it only continues. I am also happy for her to start this new chapter in her life...however, it is still so hard on me. I feel like I am turning my baby out into the real world and she is so little, so young. I almost cried when we pulled up to the school to sign her up, but I held strong and didn't shed a tear...besides I still have until August before I actually have to leave her there!
