South Hardin 8U Runner Up!!

This past weekend was full of softball! It was the opening season tournament and Avery's first game in 8U.  She did a great job and we are so proud of her! She is loving her coaches and team this year and is learning so much! It's amazing how much more exciting these games are to watch than the 6U.  The girls played hard all weekend and ended the tournament as Runner Up.  Way to go Craze!

It feels great to be back at the ballpark again and we are looking forward to Oaks' games starting up soon as well!  Jason and I love summers spent at the ballpark and so do the kids...even Lakelyn (she LOVES those icees!)

Down and Ready!  Avery is the one playing Center Field.

Way to hit the ball Avery!

Her Bat Pack is as big as she is!

The sun was so bright.

Project 52: Week 16

Oh how I love finding notes like this laying around our house!

Spring Break

Sometimes I truly wonder why I didn't pick a career where I could work in the school systems. Oh how I envy those who do and get to spend the breaks with their children! Even though I did got get to take off all of spring break I did take a few days and we made the most of it! We pretty much spent four days being lazy and having lots of family time!  On Thursday, we met up some friends at the creek to relax and enjoy the sun! It was so nice to catch up and the kiddo's had a blast together!

On Friday, Jason and I took the kids to the zoo.  It was Lakelyn's first time and she loved it!!
Oaks' most favorite animal EVER! And the only picture I took of one of my kids at the zoo, but I got lots of the animals!

Our tadpoles grew back legs!

Then on Saturday and Sunday we spent the day in the back yard or at the river.  It was such a beautiful four days!
Avery's attempt at building a ramp!

Don't ever touch one of these bad boys!!  We have a ton of them down by the river and they burn like fire if they touch your skin!

We finally moved the picnic tables down to the river!  Thank you so much Grandma & Grandpa!  It's so nice to have seating down there.

Nothing like spending an afternoon throwing sticks into the river!

Even on the river we cheer for our CATS!  Thanks to my brother, we put this flag up so you could see our take-out spot.  Prior to our flag, he and some friends passed our farm and it took us hours to find them and get them off the river!

By the end of the weekend our tadpoles had all four legs.

Project 52: Week 15

It's hard work being a little boy!

Kristopher & Jamie

These two were such a fun couple to photograph! When I asked Jamie what type of things they like to do together, she said they love to canoe, goof off, and are two very laid back people. I hope these pictures depict just that; a fun loving, beautiful couple!  I had a hard time choosing my favorite's to post!!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! It was pretty laid back and filled with LOTS of family time...just the way I like it!  We started the weekend off by making Resurrection Rolls.  Basically you take a marshmallow. which represents the Body of Christ and dip it in butter and then roll it in cinnamon and sugar.  The butter represents the oil that they anointed Jesus' body with and the cinnamon and sugar represent the spices that they put on his body.  Then you take your "body of Christ" and put it in the tomb, which is bread dough or a crescent roll.  The idea is when you bake it the marshmallow melts and when they are done you break the tomb open and it is hollow.

Needless to say, our tombs did not turn out to be hollow...I am pretty sure our body of Christ arose!  I am not sure what we did wrong, but it was fun and the kids really enjoyed it.  It was a great way to help instill in them the real reason for Easter!

And even though they did not quite turn out how they were suppose to, they still tasted really good!

Papa has his Triumph running and the kids LOVE riding in it! Next step is the body work!

Checking out what the Easter Bunny brought.

My attempt at taking a picture of all 3 of my kiddo's.  Miss Lakelyn was NOT having it!

My family after church on Easter!

The kids always love the egg hunt at Gran and Papa's!  There is very little competition and a whole lot of eggs!

For some reason I don't remember finding that many eggs with money in it when I was little!

Checking out what they got!

The sun was so bright on Easter!  It was a beautiful day!

Lakelyn loves to ride on Ellie the Elephant!

This girl is a mess!
