Kissing!

Saturday a good friend of mine, Becka and her little girl Lanee came over to spend the day with us. We had not seen them since November so it was nice to catch up. We had such a good time and the kiddo's loved playing with Lanee. I think Oaks and Lanee hit it off a little too well...we couldn't get them to quit kissing!

Fishin'

The weather was so beautiful last weekend! Thanks goodness for spring! Some good friends of ours called and were taking their kids fishing in their pond and wanted to know if we would like to join them. Avery was really patient, but after about an hour she had all she could take so her, Easton, and Allie took off to play. We ended up spending the whole day over there playing outside. Jason and Timmy spent the afternoon fishing (or fixing fishing poles), Lisa and I got to catch up while we watched to kids play and then Timmy grilled us all a great dinner! What a fun day. It is always nice to spend a day with really good friends! Thanks for having us Lisa and Timmy!!

Hosparus Tea

Just thought I would post a picture of a few of us EJWC girls at Hosparus Tea last Saturday. The theme for this year was "World UniTea" so we decorated our table with a 70's theme. Protest signs, peace signs, tie-dyed, and daises adorned our table. Give Peace a Chance!

I'm A Country Boy

Here are a few more of Oakley's 18 month pics. Every time I see these I think of that song, "I'm a country boy, I got a 4-wheel drive..." He sure is one cute lil' country boy if you ask me!

Oakley's 18 Months

Can you believe Oaks is 18 months?!?! He has turned into quite the little toddler and has even started to throw a couple of those terrible two fits. He is saying so much these days and his latest phrase is "Thank You." At home, Papa and Gran's, and Papaw and Nana's he talks all the time! However, his babysitter and Sunday school teacher's have informed me that they have never heard him say anything. His babysitter (Ms. Linda) says occasionally he will call her "inda" but that is about it. His daddy was always pretty shy (in fact I always tease him and say that he never even spoke the whole first year we were dating.) Oakley reminds me a lot of his Daddy in many ways. Oakley also loves to ride ANYTHING, 4-wheeler, tractor, wheelbarrow...you name it - if it moves and he wants to ride it. In fact I would say "ride" is one of his favorite words! He also loves to wrestle! You cannot sit in the floor without him coming over and trying to push you down. Many afternoons are spent wrestling with Daddy and Avery. And I won't lie, sometimes I even enjoy getting in on the action! Oakley also loves to cuddle with Mommy (he is still quite the little Momma's boy) and eat! He would eat all day long if we would let him and he has yet to ever spit anything out. A few of Oaks dislikes would be washing his ears and older men with beards...they really freak him out. He is really growing up fast on us. We no longer have a baby in the house that is for sure. Here are a few of his 18 month pictures I took. He was not in much of a mood to smile, but I still think they turned out pretty good. Enjoy!

Lets Go Fly A Kite!

As soon as Avery ran in from Ms. Linda's today she wanted to know if we could go fly her kite. She got a kite for her birthday (like two years ago) and we had never even opened it. It was so beautiful outside today and a perfect afternoon to fly a kite! Avery did such a good job and bless her heart she ran all over the field to keep it up! She and I had a lot of fun while Daddy and Oaks picked up tree limbs out of the hayfield. Oakley will do anything as long as it involves the 4-wheeler! What a perfect day! I only hope this weather lasts!

Weekend Fun

Here are just a few fun snapshots of the kids playing this weekend. They are really starting to play with eachother more and more. Oakley just tags along and lets Avery do whatever she wants. Although, you better believe he still takes up for himself and sometimes is just plain mean! When he has had enough, he has had enough!

Along with everything else Avery also had softball tryouts this weekend...can you believe they do that at four! (It is actually just to rate them to keep coaches from stacking a team.) She is so excited to start playing and I am so excited to go watch. It is always really cute at that age. Anyhow, she had left her bat, glove, and helmet laying in the floor when she got home. Oakley decided that he liked the helmet and wanted to wear it so you better believe I had to get a picture...he is going to really hate me for this some day!

Please don't mind my unfinshed basement in this pic....that is our big project for this fall!

A simple balloon can keep kids busy for hours...thanks Kellie for sending those home with me! :)

Yeah, he is going to kill me for this some day, but it is so stinkin' cute!

Happy Birthday Gran and Great Papaw!

This weekend was full of Birthday celebrations. Saturday evening we went out to eat with Gran, Papa, Aunt Kat and Uncle Goose for Gran's birthday. We had such a fun time and Gran got some great presents. Then on Sunday for lunch we went over to Uncle "Whites" and Aunt Karens to celebrate Great Papaw's birthday. The kids all piled around Great Papaw and we got a great picture of him, the kids, and his 3 cakes! And as always the kids had a blast playing with all of their cousins! It sure was a busy but fun weekend!

Sunday's

Sunday's are my favorite day of the week. It is the day that I get to go to church with my family and worship God, it is the day that I get to be lazy, it is the day that I get to spend with my husband and play with my kids, the day that we get to visit family, it is the one day that we always have together as a family...I LOVE Sundays. This past Sunday we spent the afternoon at Gran and Papa's. The kids always have so much fun when they are there and my mom cooked the BEST lunch. Here are a few pictures from the day.

This is Oakley's new favorite thing to ride!
