Goodbye baby girl, hello walking, talking toddler! These past two years have sure flown by. Here is a quick update on Miss Lakelyn!
~She talks all the time! She can repeat anything and speaks in full sentences now.
~She loves to sing! Her favorite songs are Itsy, Bitsy Spider, Row Row Your Boat, Jesus Loves Me, and Baa Baa Black Sheep.
~Lakelyn has decided that she is going to call Avery "Sissy" and she refuses to call her Avery. I still don't know where she picked this up from.
~She is doing a great job peeing in the potty....now if we can just get pooping in the potty down!
~She loves to color and draw.
~Playing with her baby dolls is also one of her favorite pastimes.
~She loves to give hugs and kisses and she will give them to anyone! She is a very loving child!
~She loves to be read too. Her favorite book at the moment is Mary Engelbreit's Nursery Rhymes.
~Lakelyn does not know a stranger. She will let anyone hold her and is not shy at all....sometimes this is a little scary to me!
~She is VERY independent! "I do it" is her new favorite phrase.
~Climbing and Running are two of her favorite things to do. She also loves to skip and it is so stinkin' cute to watch!
~Hearing her say "I wove you" is music to our ears!
~She just started taking gymnastics and so far she seem to like it okay. Let's just say following directions is not one of her strong suits right now! She really wants to just run around and do her own thing.
~She loves to tag behind Avery and Oakley. She always wants to be doing whatever they are doing....except when they are swimming. She HATES it and refuses to get in the water!
~She loves to wash her hands!
~She loves our pets, Chip and Smokey. She is such a little animal lover!
~She loves her hair-bows and having "pretty toes." (Painted toe nails) We have to make sure we have all the make-up and nail polish out of reach because if not, Miss Lakelyn is trying to put it on!
~Lakelyn is forever finding markers the other kids have left laying around and drawing all over herself. I feel like we are constantly scrubbing marker off of her!
~We have to keep our eye on her every second! She is ALWAYS into something!!!
~Lakelyn despises going to the doctor! It is such a chore to take her. She screams, cries and fights the nurse and doctor the entire time. If she has to get a shot she screams and cries all the way home! It is very stressful to say the least!
~Lakelyn could care less about having her picture taken. She is much more into exploring her surroundings than smiling for me. But that is also what makes these pictures so special to me; they truly show Lakelyn and her little personality.
