God in Nature

As I write this post today I am wondering why God has laid this on my heart to share with you. Maybe it’s a way for me not to forget or maybe it is to help someone else who may be feeling the same way. I am not sure, but here it goes. So lately life had been hard for me. I know if may not seem that way from outward appearance, but sometimes it is easy to cover up and pretend that you are just fine. To me, my life has been a whirl wind of busy. I feel like I can’t even get my head above water to breath. On top of all that, how can you be a good mother and wife when you don’t even feel like you are a good person…you try to be, but you have so much going on that you don’t give a 100% to anything, you just contribute a little here and there. Not to mention the worries and stress that comes along with being a mother, a wife, owning your own home, owning a car that keeps breaking, trying to make ends meet and having a little extra just for fun. I feel stressed, lost, “who the heck am ...

Easter Weekend

Image
On Saturday Avery, Oakley and I dyed Easter eggs. Kind of a messy task, but it was fun. Avery wanted to eat them as soon as they were done and all Oaks wanted to do was play in the dye. The kids were so excited to wake up Easter morning to see what the Easter Bunny left them. Avery was excited about everything, but all Oaks cared about was the chocolate. I think he ate 3 cadbury eggs before we realized it! Then we got ready and went to church. After church we went to Gran and Papa's for Easter dinner and a egg hunt. Again, Avery had a blast and all Oakley wanted was to eat what was in the egg as soon as he found it. Egg hunting was just not his thing this year. We were blessed with a fun and beautiful Easter Sunday. What a great day to celebrate our risen Savior! Excuse Oakley's Chocolate mouth...I think he has become additcted this weekend!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Image
Sunday was our Church Egg Hunt. The kids had so much fun playing games, doing crafts, getting their face painted, hunting eggs, watching the puppet show, and decorating cupcakes. This was Oakley's first egg hunt. He didn't really know what to think. He found his first egg and all he wanted to do was get it open. He won a "crabby patty" at one the of the games he played and he LOVED it. He carried it around all afternoon. He also loved playing the games. Avery had lots of fun too. She really liked the egg hunt and the puppet show. She kept asking if the puppets had really long legs! We decided to go talk to one and ask. Once the puppet started talking to her she would not say a word...she could not believe the puppet was talking just to her and he knew her name!!
