Santa made a stop at our house!

I just love Christmas morning!! There is nothing more wonderful than waking up to the excitement of the kiddo's!  Not to mention, 7 years ago on Christmas Day I gave birth to one of the most beautiful little girls ever!  How special it is to share your birthday with Jesus.  I always seem to think of Mary on Christmas morning.  I imagine her joy of holding her precious baby boy for the first time just as when I held Avery.  I imagine how in awe of God glory she must of been having just given birth to God's Son, a King, a Savior.  Then I can't even begin to imagine the road she had ahead of her, knowing she would have to give her son up for generations of people that she would never know.  What courage she must of had as a mother.  I cannot imagine the pain of loosing a child and I pray that I never have to know that pain.  However, I am so thankful that she listened and trusted in God.  I am so thankful that my savior was born and died so that I could live.  What a gift that was given to us.  What a sacrifice.  If it were me, would I have been as strong as Mary, would I have followed God's will for me?

I pray that everyday I remember the sacrifice that was made for me.  I pray that I listen for God's will in my life and follow Him where ever I go.  I pray that I will trust in God's plan and that I will always have the reminder of the price that was paid for my sins.

Love that look of excitement!

The aftermath.

Avery's birthday present from us!  She insist on opening it right after all her Christmas presents.

Avery's new purple hair and fake glasses...shhhh...don't tell her I told they were fake!

Our little man!

Lakelyn was laid back, chillin' with a ring pop she found in her stocking!
